I started affiliate marketing back in April 2025. It still feels odd to say that out loud because I wasn’t sure it would work for me at all. Yet here I am actually enjoying it, maybe even too much some days. My wife Glenis keeps asking if I’m “still on that laptop,” which I deny even while the screen glow is clearly on my face.

 

I’m a retired grandad, and somehow that label sounds both peaceful and chaotic. We have lived in Gravesend for years. It is a medium sized town in Kent by the Thames estuary, though sometimes it feels bigger when the seagulls get loud.

 

The name Gravesend usually gets a reaction. People hear it and think horror film, but really it is known for smugglers, more pubs than anyone needed, and the place where Pocahontas is buried. Visitors ask about that a lot. I always say the story sounds made up, but it isn’t.

 

This blog will be a mix of affiliate marketing bits and pieces from my life. Real life, not polished highlights. Some days I plan to write something serious, then my mind jumps to the time I fell off a chair trying to fix a lightbulb. Things blur together like that.
